The first earthquake to have occurred on Maine was in the 1817’s on the may 22nd. It was so strong to the extent it was heard in the whole state and New Brunswick. The most recent earthquake was in 2009 July. It had a magnitude of 1.8. The areas prone to disasters in Maine Calais are, East Port and Saco Rockland.
